Prof. Oleg Tkach was born on November 23, 1970 in Ivano-Frankivsk in a family of employees. In 1988 he graduated with honors from secondary school. In 1995 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Energy Supply and Energy Saving, Ivano-Frankivsk State Technical University of Oil and Gas. From July 3, 1995 to October 1995, he worked as a Head of the Foreign Economic Relations Department at the Industrial Association “Carpathy” in Ivano-Frankivsk. From October 1995 to July 2003 he worked as a Specialist of Foreign Trade Relations Department at Ivano-Frankivsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and in 2001 he was transferred to the post of a Head to the Department of Expertise, Business and Property Evaluation.

From September 1996 to October 2000 Oleg Tkach studied as postgraduate student (part-time form) at the Chair of Finance, Precarpathian National University named after V. Stefanyk. In January 2003 he defended his Ph.D. thesis at the Institute for Regional Studies of the National Academy of Sciences in Lviv on the topic “Organizational and economic levers of formation of foreign economic activity of the region (on the example of Ivano-Frankivsk region). From July 2003 to August 2005 he worked as the head of the Chair of tourism at the Institute of Management and Economics “Halycka Academy” in Ivano-Frankivsk
From September 2005 to April 2010 he worked as an Associate Professor at the Chair of Management and Marketing at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Ivano-Frankivsk.

In October 2008, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor of the Chair of Management and Marketing (protocol 5/2 – D). From September 2006 to July 2010 – Doctoral Student at the Institute for Regional Studies, NAS of Ukraine, Lviv. From April 2010 to October 2011 he worked as a Chief of Economy Department at Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.

In November 2011 he finished 5 years Doctoral Program at the Institute for Regional Studies of the National Academy of Sciences in Lviv and defended his doctoral thesis at Lutsk National Technical University on the topic: “Competitiveness of the region in the global context of the interplay of oriental and economic systems”. Specialty 08.00.05 – Productive Forces Development and Regional Economy.

In May 2012, he was transferred to the post of Professor of Management and Marketing Chair at Precarpathian National University named after V. Stefanyk, Ivano-Frankivsk. From May 2012 to September 2014 he worked as the Vice-Rector of the socio-economic development at the Prearpathian National University named after V. Stefanyk, Ivano-Frankivsk. Since September 2014 Prof. Oleg Tkach works as the Head of the Chair of Management and Marketing.
